    Chapter Index

The last explosive sound heard was not from far away. It was an explosion sound coming from near the castle.

“As expected, they couldn’t hold out, right?”

The sorcerer Myeonggyeol standing at the center of the massive underground plaza chanting spells made a deflated expression.

He’d crossed over to help another dimension, but the person in charge died, and all the prepared plans were completely smashed.

Since it wasn’t his dimension anyway, he wanted to just go back, but since the space ability user refused, he couldn’t cross dimensions either.

“The mages all went back. How about we give up and return too?”

He tried to persuade the space ability user once more, but the space ability user just shook his head.

“Haa, he’s brainwashed so there’s no answer.”

Myeonggyeol sighed and started chanting spells again.

This place was a massive space underground of Romania’s Bran Castle, called Dracula’s castle.

A place where medieval witches actually prayed to demon realm demons for wishes to gain power, which Adelio discovered and finished remodeling as a place to summon the Demon Lord.

The giant magic circle at the center was made by gathering ancient summoning formations scattered across countries for that task.

Of course, numerous corpses were piled on top of it, but the stone plates with magic circles drawn underneath were ancient legacies.

Adelio and this dimension’s contaminated summoners, together with contaminated summoners from other dimensions, developed contamination spread agents while also searching for relics to summon the Demon Lord.

In other worlds, there were many contacts with Demon Lords, so obtaining relics for summoning was easy, but in this world, obtaining such relics was difficult.

Because of that, they could only recently make a summoning formation to call the Demon Lord.

“Preparing so hard and then running out unable to control his temper and dying… Never thought the guy who criticized me would die first.”

Sorcerer Myeonggyeol recalled the black-coated man who attacked him and shuddered.

“Where did such a monster come from? At a glance, he looked beyond supreme peak… When I get back, I’ll lock the door tight and tell the Mingjiao guys to deal with him.”

Though his home was already destroyed, Myeonggyeol, unaware of that fact, only thought about quickly finishing the work and returning.

“Damn, they said it was finished, why dump the cleanup on me? It’s what they made anyway.”

After thoroughly cursing the mages who’d already crossed to their dimension via dimension-hopping, he quickly finished the spell.

Though different from the sorcery he knew in many ways, activation wasn’t difficult if he knew the format anyway.

As the sorcerer’s spell ended, red light started surging from the giant magic circle filling the underground plaza.

Blood flowing from corpses started emitting light.

The corpses all started melting into the magic circle, and blood formed into the magic circle’s shape emitting intense light.

    Puak!

    The next moment.

A huge hole was punctured where the magic circle was.

And from that hole, intense demonic energy poured out. The passage to the demon realm had opened.

“Damn, we punched a hole without contaminating all the worlds, will it really be okay?”

The mages who left first said it’d be fine, but trusting their words 100% was difficult.

“Might be better to flee quickly.”

Anyway, since he’d opened the demon realm’s gate, his work was finished.

The sorcerer urgently shouted to the space ability user, but the space ability user showed no reaction at all.

He just stared blankly into the hole.

    “What’s wrong! What’s in there!”

The sorcerer also looked at the hole again, and at that moment he also changed to a blank expression.

Something was coming out from inside the hole.

    Squirm squirm squirm.

A giant amorphous mass like intestines, like jelly, was struggling out of the hole.

Dozens of giant eyes were embedded in the mass, and the space ability user and sorcerer who made eye contact with those eyes couldn’t gather their wits and just blankly stared at the monster’s eyes.

While the bizarre mass that looked like something from hell continued crawling outside, white smoke started rising little by little from places on the mass.

    Sssss. Sssss.

Simultaneously, screams filled the underground plaza.

    [Kraaaaaaah!]

At the scream that seemed to shatter souls, the sorcerer trembled clutching his ears, and the space ability user immediately spurted blood from his ears and collapsed to the floor.

[Who is it! Who summoned me to such a world! Did you dig a trap to kill me! Do you plan to perish with the world!]

Demon Lord Bifrons couldn’t come to his senses from the pain piercing his entire body.

To preemptively claim a hole opened to an unfamiliar dimension before others, he’d jumped in recklessly, but seemed to have made a huge mistake.

It was a world not even half contaminated by demonic energy. Deceived by the demonic energy spread around and jumping in, the demonic energy was spread only a few hundred kilometers around.

In such a place, a Demon Lord absolutely couldn’t survive.

Moreover, the gate connecting to the demon realm had already closed. As the sorcerer cut off the spell, the hastily made hole closed.

The giant mass, Demon Lord Bifrons, spread his flesh in all directions while screaming. The giant masses squirmed and stretched, and the sorcerer and space ability user were sucked into the mass.

[Kukuku, was this body tricked by humans called mages.]

The Demon Lord who sucked in the space ability user and sorcerer and checked their memories found the current situation absurd.

The mages who fled first knew things would turn out like this.

When summoning a Demon Lord without covering the world in demonic energy, the Demon Lord couldn’t withstand that world.

In crude terms, suffocating to death.

The mages naturally knew that fact, but deceived the sorcerer who’d never summoned a Demon Lord to call one.

The mages’ goal wasn’t killing the Demon Lord. Their purpose was destroying the world where the operation failed.

The Demon Lord summoned to this world with no way back would inevitably die as time passed.

Only the Demon Lord wouldn’t just die quietly.

Until the moment of death, he’d certainly smash this world.

Moreover, if it was Demon Lord Bifrons, even after death he could sufficiently destroy the world.

    [I was tricked by Beryd.]

Bifrons who jumped into the hole recklessly because Beryd, the Demon Lord of lies, was trying to jump into the hole.

[Clearly, must’ve had a connection with those mage scum.]

Demon Lord Bifrons who immediately figured out how things were going after seeing the sorcerer and space ability user’s memories.

Truly demon lord-like intuition, but too late a realization.

[Ku.ku.ku. In the end, must I disappear in this place.]

While he disappeared in this place, Beryd would certainly seize his sky castle.

Bifrons found the situation where he was properly tricked absurd.

Though he wanted to not play along with their thoughts, helplessly he too was a Demon Lord.

No way a Demon Lord would just leave alone a world intact without demonic energy.

    [All perish!]

His body started explosively expanding in volume in all directions.

The Demon Lord’s body filling the underground plaza smashed the ceiling and soared upward.

    ***

    Kugugugugung!

Sun-woo and Nanseol who rushed into the castle dealing with blocking enemies were startled by the sudden earthquake.

But Sun-woo could soon tell this earthquake wasn’t an ordinary earthquake.

Sun-woo immediately wrapped around Nanseol’s waist and desperately threw his body backward.

    Puak!

The ground where the two people were burst open, and surrounding grounds wildly shot upward.

And from the burst ground, giant flesh masses popped out.

The contaminated people facing Sun-woo and Nanseol were instantly sucked into the flesh mass, and even castle walls and towers collapsed as is.

    “What is that?”

Escaping from Sun-woo’s embrace and running with him outside the castle, Nanseol exclaimed seeing the giant flesh mass emerging while destroying the castle.

A bizarre life form she’d never seen before.

    “Don’t look back!”

As she kept trying to look back, Sun-woo shouted.

Giant eyes were revealing themselves from inside the flesh mass.

Sun-woo made eye contact with one giant eye, and Sun-woo felt a huge shock rush into his mind.

Thanks to Sun-woo’s powerful mind, he could overcome the shock, but it was a shock others couldn’t withstand.

Sun-woo could tell what being the emerged flesh mass was, though the shape was different.

Though before he only faced an arm, the felt presence wasn’t different.

The flesh mass that emerged now was definitely a Demon Lord.

“First we must retreat as far as possible. Can’t face it!”

An opponent he was driven to the brink of death with just one arm. Though much stronger than then, clearly couldn’t win at a glance.

“Certainly shouldn’t have been able to summon it.”

Though he worked hard destroying missiles to prevent summoning the Demon Lord, the Demon Lord had appeared plain as day.

Emitting white smoke here and there seemed problematic, but still not an existence that could be faced.

Sun-woo planned to first flee with people even if it meant abandoning Europe.

But Sun-woo’s thoughts had to be abandoned because of the giant flesh mass’s movement.

There were things shooting in all directions from the giant flesh mass that crushed the castle and instead occupied the castle’s location.

From flesh masses several times larger than people to flesh masses the size of dogs.

Hundreds, thousands of flesh masses shot toward the sky and all directions.

The flesh masses shot like shells flew from nearby places toward places so distant their forms weren’t visible.

A flesh mass also fell near Sun-woo and Nanseol.

The person-sized flesh mass that fell to the ground moved like lightning not matching its size and covered a nearby summoner.

And the next moment, the flesh mass started devouring the summoner.

    Kraaaak!

Screams burst out from all directions.

The flesh masses devoured not only people but also trees and grass, everything.

While emitting smoke from places all over their bodies, as if not caring at all, the flesh masses attacked all living things.

And flesh masses that ate prey grew in bulk.

    Swish!

Nanseol who swung her sword toward the flesh mass flew her body backward making a troubled expression.

    “The sword doesn’t work!”

Nanseol’s sword split the flesh mass in half, but before the sword fully passed through, the flesh mass merged back together.

Summoners shooting guns also realized bullets were useless.

Grenades and shells were all just meaningless attacks.

    Swish!

    Kraaaaaaak!

A scream burst from the flesh mass Sun-woo’s sword sliced off.

The flesh mass boiled up as if burning and disappeared.

Sun-woo looked at the demonic energy on his sword with a hardened expression.

Just like when facing the Demon Lord before. There was no way to face the Demon Lord except demonic energy.

Of course divine power was also possible, but in this place, in this dimension, only one person could use divine power.

And she was still in Korea.

“Save people and flee. I’ll block from behind.”

Only Sun-woo’s attacks worked. Ultimately Sun-woo had no choice but to help the party’s escape from behind.

    “What about Sun-woo!”

“Don’t worry about me! I can pull out my own body.”

At Sun-woo’s words, Nanseol nodded. Just as he said.

Nanseol decomposed a dozen blocking flesh masses and ran to save people.

    “Then shall I cause havoc?”

Sun-woo fully released the blocked divine power. Divine power released inside his body, and the bracers vibrated.

And the demonic energy on his sword collided with divine power creating small sparks.

“Since the world isn’t contaminated, if I just buy time, it’ll certainly collapse on its own… will it certainly?”

Wasn’t certain, but had to believe so.

Flesh masses started rushing toward Sun-woo who emitted divine power fully.

Sun-woo also swung his sword toward the rushing flesh masses.

    ***

    30 minutes later.

Sun-woo looked up at the darkened sky and laughed hollowly.

    “The Demon Lord’s smart too.”

A giant flesh mass was positioned in the sky above his head.

The flesh mass that devoured the castle soared to the sky and grew in size, secretly covering the area’s sky.

Sun-woo who couldn’t check the sky thanks to endlessly charging flesh masses barely discovered the main body floating in the sky thanks to the shadow covering his body.

“Seems people fled… but there’s no way to escape.”

Even with his movement technique, didn’t seem he could avoid the Demon Lord’s main body covering several kilometers or more.

Sun-woo raised his middle finger toward the sky.

And the flesh mass of dozens of kilometers area spread in the sky fell to the ground.
