    Chapter Index

After the press conference, many people didn’t believe the content. Some thought it was a new movie or advertisement, and others accepted it as a press conference by a crazy person.

The press conference content was that far removed from reality.

    However, some people.

Young people sensitive to information and people at the core of politics and business took it seriously.

    – Do you even believe that press conference? It’s entertaining, but it seems like nonsense.

    – Still, he’s the representative of a huge corporation. Don’t they even have a branch in Korea?

    – I don’t believe it. If such things happened, rumors would have spread somehow.

    – Looking at what happened in Prague recently, it doesn’t seem like complete lies either.

    – Then you’re saying a man with a sword in his hand flying between buildings killing animals that turned into monsters is reality? You’ve all watched too many movies.

    – I also use superpowers a bit… Take me too.

    – Well, if we wait a bit the results will come out. It’s not just anybody but something said by a multinational corporation’s representative. If it’s a lie, the company stock will hit rock bottom.

    – But it’s not a listed company. Still, I agree we can know if we wait a bit.

Unlike general society that just accepted it as an entertaining story, internet spaces went crazy over the press conference.

Most people on the internet didn’t believe it either, but perhaps because the press conference content was extremely stimulating, stories kept pouring out.

Sun-woo, who was checking press conference comments on his computer, got sick of the endlessly increasing comments and closed the internet window.

It hadn’t even been a day since the press conference yet, and it was too short a time for people to believe.

It seemed people would start believing only when contamination broke out or the government acknowledged it.

According to Caroline, the reason Cleanearth suddenly held the press conference was a judgment that information could no longer be blocked and to lower the importance of the exiles.

Association headquarters judged that with current manpower, it would be impossible to prevent future situations like the Prague contamination exposure.

Summoner must have agreed with that thinking too.

The official document headquarters sent to the Korea branch just before the press conference had the same content.

However, from the exiles’ perspective, different ulterior motives were hidden.

If headquarters revealed contamination and the Summoner Association, there would be no need to manipulate ordinary people’s memories.

Then the position of Empire exiles who made up most of the memory manipulation ability users would inevitably decrease.

The independent Korea branch and exiles would have no choice but to surrender to association headquarters again.

However, unfortunately association headquarters’ thinking was wrong.

According to Caroline, the exiles currently at Korea branch were so absorbed in the purification mission story she conveyed that they had no interest in association headquarters’ press conference.

Though it had been thoroughly kept secret about the association and contamination, to the exiles it was just a world story where they were temporarily staying.

If they could never return to their own dimension, they should have bowed their heads to association headquarters.

However, with Sun-woo figuring out how to purify contamination, Earth’s affairs became something exiles didn’t even need to worry about.

Though complicated matters would increase in handling branch affairs going forward, the exiles didn’t seem greatly worried.

“Rather, the problem is on my side?”

Unlike the exiles, Sun-woo was a person belonging to this world.

He became unable to be confident whether the ordinary life until now would continue being maintained.

    “Has ordinary life already departed?”

In the house living room was a priestess wearing cute pajamas drinking tea while watching Chinese dramas.

Ordinary life had already long crossed the water.

“Still, I should try my best.”

Sun-woo made a firm resolution while answering the phone call that came from his friend Minseok.

“It’s just like a part-time job. Just because I work there, would I know all those stories! It’s just ordinary work. Not much different from errand center work. Yeah, if something feels strange I’ll quit right away so don’t worry.”

The only person who knew Sun-woo was helping Cleanearth’s work was Minseok.

Having narrow interpersonal relationships helped at times like this.

“Rather than worrying about that, come into the game. Let’s run after a long time.”

To divert his friend’s suspicion and relieve stress, Sun-woo logged into a game after a long time.

It was a newly popular FPS game, and since even Sun-woo was trying the game for the first time, he could enjoy gaming happily after a long while.

    ***

[Sunwoo-Min’s account has been suspended for 30 days for illegal program use.]

Sun-woo had to quit just two hours after starting the game.

He was reported as a hack-using user by both enemies and allies enjoying the game together.

Among the same team people, some deliberately died and recorded Sun-woo’s screen.

In the past when Sun-woo dominated various games, it was because of his strategy and game tactics, not much weight on control. Thanks to that, he hardly heard being called a hack user or bug user.

But now even if called a hack user, he had nothing to say.

The wild animal-comparable reflexes elevated Sun-woo’s game control ability beyond hacks.

Opponents couldn’t last 3 seconds when Sun-woo appeared.

When Sun-woo shot, it always hit.

    Moreover, the head.

So hearing being called a hack user wasn’t strange at all.

Sun-woo asked Minseok playing together to help.

“Hey man, what would you lack to use hacks! Just accept the ban!”

Even his friend didn’t believe him.

    The game ended too early.

Sun-woo lay on the bed, turned on his phone, and checked the skill window.

    <Earth Spirit 7th Grade> Rank increase: 400p

    <Illusion Technique 5th Grade> Rank increase: 200p

<Revolving Divine Demon Arts 8-star> Rank increase: 1000p

    <Revolving Sword Technique 9-star> Rank increase: 800p

    <Revolving Divine Footwork 8-star> Rank increase: 800p

    <Physical Enhancement 3-star> Rank increase: 100p

    <Water Magic 4th Circle> Rank increase: 200p

    <Fire Magic 2nd Circle> Rank increase: 200p

    <Elapsed Time 6th Grade> Rank increase: 1000p

    <Barrier Magic 1st Circle> Rank increase: 200p

    <Summoning Magic 1st Circle> Rank increase: 400p

    <Phantom Pain 1st Grade> Rank increase: 400p

    Available points were 1350 points.

Sun-woo looked at the skill window and pondered briefly, but eventually pushed all 1st grade Barrier Magic, Summoning Magic, and Phantom Pain up one grade each.

‘Should I raise Earth Spirit or martial arts more?’

He could have raised Earth Spirit or martial arts that he used as main forces, but decided to raise the new skills he’d been using effectively recently.

Shortly after, Sun-woo felt information in his head and circles activating near his heart.

Remaining points were now 350 points, Sun-woo saved these points.

He checked the skill window one last time and took out an inner dan from inventory.

It was the [East Sea Golden Turtle’s Inner Dan] obtained in this mission.

“An inner dan that increases water affinity and increases internal energy…”

Sun-woo held the inner dan and pondered briefly but eventually put it back in inventory.

He was in a situation where he hadn’t even digested the inner dan and core he ate before.

He didn’t know at first, but now he could feel energy and internal energy not yet dissolved circulating in his head and blood vessels.

He thought it was better to digest all this energy and internal energy before trying, or give it to someone who needed it.

Sun-woo fell asleep while thinking in his head about people worth giving the inner dan to.

    ***

    The next day.

Sun-woo drove toward Cleanearth Korea Branch to perform remaining missions.

    Seoul’s appearance was very peaceful.

As if both the Prague incident and events in other dimensions were all unreal.

However, such a peaceful scene disappeared upon arriving at the Cleanearth building.

In front of Korea branch was bustle with numerous reporters.

From broadcasting station cameras to newspaper reporters and internet reporters, plus many people who came out of curiosity.

In front of the building was truly like a marketplace.

Cars and people trying to enter the building had to be caught by reporters and receive coverage.

Sun-woo worried about getting caught too, but fortunately his ordinary domestic sports sedan was outside their interest.

Thanks to that, Sun-woo’s car went underground without any hindrance.

Sun-woo who arrived underground moved to the elevator and met Korean summoners.

They were summoners who were with the audit office summoner he met during the founding mission.

He was waiting for the elevator together with several men appearing to be summoners.

Since reporters were camped at the door, they also came down underground.

    “Long time no see.”

The other side also seemed to recognize Sun-woo and immediately acknowledged him, and Sun-woo also lightly greeted with a nod.

“Did you come to meet the branch manager?”

Sun-woo tilted his head at the man’s question. It didn’t seem like just a casual greeting.

Since meeting the branch manager itself wasn’t a secret, when he said yes, the other side gave advice that wasn’t quite advice with a serious expression.

“I’m telling you with good intentions, don’t get close with the branch manager and Empire exile side. There are widespread rumors that this whole situation happened because of them. They’re acting so arrogant now, but they’ll be pushed out soon. Better to conduct yourself well.”

To Sun-woo’s ears it felt closer to a threat than advice.

The relationship between Korean summoners and exiles was worse than expected.

    “Thank you. I’ll be careful.”

Sun-woo who heard the story simply thanked him.

It was a relationship formed through work anyway.

If sides were divided between the two, he would raise his hand for the exile side, but there was no need to be on edge here for no reason.

At that moment, Sun-woo’s ears heard a man standing behind whispering to another person.

“That woman who became executive this time, she’s a kept man, right?”

Though it was a small whisper against the ear, it wasn’t something Sun-woo who surpassed human could not hear.

At that moment, the elevator arrived. The audit office man and colleagues got on the elevator first, but Sun-woo didn’t.

“Please go up first. I remembered something I left in the car.”

At Sun-woo’s words, a slightly mocking expression passed between the party.

The Korean summoner nodded to Sun-woo and closed the elevator.

The reason Sun-woo remained at this spot was different.

“I treated them quite gently but got heavily cursed at. Then it’s disappointing for me to just send them off.”

Sun-woo closed his eyes and spread Earth Spirit to the surroundings. Now Sun-woo could sufficiently move Earth Spirit to places other than dirt ground too.

The elevator was passing the 2nd floor.

Sun-woo sent Earth Spirit to the passage where the elevator moved and slightly shook the passage.

    Rumble!

    “What is it, an earthquake!”

A startled voice was heard down to the basement.

Soon after, the elevator emergency stopped between floors.

When the elevator stopped, Sun-woo applied pressure to the passage to prevent the elevator door from moving.

“I hope they reflect while trapped.”

Sun-woo raised his middle finger toward the elevator passage and took another elevator that arrived beside.
