[World Ranking 1st, Min Do-jun. Successfully conquers EX-rank dungeon!]

[Min Do-jun announces retirement after EX-rank dungeon conquest!]

[No more dungeon conquests! Min Do-jun decides to live like an ordinary person.]

[Hunter industry stirred by sudden retirement news. But most show respectful atmosphere.]

└Is Min Do-jun’s retirement for real? My heart feels grand.

└The world’s strongest person stepping down from his position…

└He’s been hunting for 10 years and has no rivals left, so it must be boring.

└I think it’s because he hit max level? Experience doesn’t come anymore.

└Well, he must have accumulated money to the point of rotting.

└With this level of contribution to society, we should send him off with applause.

└I don’t know about others, but if it’s Min Do-jun, he can retire. I give permission.

└Who are you to give permission or not? A basement dwelling loser.

└I think the guy above is more of a loser.

Internet article sections were plastered with news of Min Do-jun’s retirement.

The surprising news wasn’t just that.

[Breaking News! World Ranking 1st Min Do-jun, getting married in May this year!]

[Marriage partner is a 4-year younger ordinary person who is a manager at the same guild!]

[Min Do-jun reaches marriage after 8 years of dating. Decided on private wedding ceremony inviting only acquaintances…]

└Ah, so he’s retiring to get married.

└Well, it would be awkward to continue dangerous work like being a hunter after marriage.

└No no, he’s just retiring because he hit max level. What danger is there for world ranking 1st?

└This is right. He even catches bosses alone.

└May is only a few months away.

└I want to go see but it’s private ㅠㅠ

└Congratulations on your marriage! Hunter Min Do-jun! I hope you continue to prosper!

    └Congratulations~

└Since I can’t go to the wedding, I’ll leave greetings through comments~ Congratulations!

└You’ve worked hard saving the country all this time. I hope you have children and live happily now!

    └Have a happy married life~

Min Do-jun, who was reading the article comments, smiled warmly.

‘To think so many people would congratulate the marriage…’

Though they were people whose faces he didn’t know, each comment contained sincerity.

    ‘Thank you, everyone.’

Receiving congratulations that should be received at the wedding ceremony in advance felt strange.

    “Oppa, are you ready?”

    “Yeah.”

Min Do-jun, dressed in a stylish suit, went out with Cha Ye-rin.

Today was an important day with the formal meeting of both families.

“What about father and mother-in-law? Did they leave?”

    “They’re still getting ready.”

    “Really?”

“What about Teacher? He’s coming, right?”

“Yeah. He texted that he left a while ago.”

Min Do-jun had asked Hwang Eui-cheol.

Whether he could come to the formal family meeting in place of his parents.

He was no different from a parent since he had saved his life.

Of course, Hwang Eui-cheol also thought of Min Do-jun like a son, so he readily accepted.

    “Let’s hurry before we’re late.”

The two people headed to the restaurant with happy faces.

    * * *

Due to the sudden pregnancy, Min Do-jun’s couple had to rush their wedding preparations.

After the formal family meeting, they reserved a venue, chose dresses, took wedding photos, made invitations, etc.

    Time flew by frantically.

He never knew wedding ceremonies required so much preparation.

Of course, that was for Cha Ye-rin – Min Do-jun already knew from experience.

‘It’s the second marriage with the same woman.’

Since he had already married before regression, Min Do-jun knew the entire process.

Perhaps that’s why there was no trace of nervousness on his face as he greeted guests while wearing a tuxedo.

Rather, he smiled and greeted the guests first.

“Thank you all for taking time out of your schedules. Everyone.”

    “Not at all, Guild Master.”

“Of course we had to come when the Guild Master is getting married.”

“Oh, but you look quite handsome today? You were always handsome, but.”

“Congratulations on your marriage, Guild Master.”

    Park Dong-yun, Han Sang-jun, Chae So-hyun, etc.

After having pleasant conversations with Guardian Guild executives and employees who had been together from the early days, he greeted the next guests.

“Did Guild Master Hong Se-yeon come?”

“Hunter Min Do-jun, congratulations on your marriage. No, should I call you Guild Master rather than Hunter now?”

“Please call me whatever is comfortable. Though I retired, being a hunter hasn’t changed.”

Hong Se-yeon, who had feelings for Min Do-jun, also came and sincerely congratulated him.

    “Oh? You’re over there.”

    “Hunter Min Do-jun!”

Core members of Guardian Guild – Shin Kyung-min, Jeong Hye-won, Hyun Su-ah, Hwang Da-yeon – also came one by one to congratulate him.

    “Da-yeon. Where’s Teacher?”

“He’s at the beauty salon but will come soon.”

Hwang Eui-cheol, like at the formal family meeting, was going to fill the role in place of parents.

“Thank you all for congratulating me.”

Min Do-jun stood at the ceremony hall entrance and greeted all the guests without exception.

Though he had invited only close acquaintances in secrecy, the ceremony hall had endless foot traffic.

    “Oh, are you Min Do-jun?”

When he looked, it was Cha Ye-rin’s extended family.

“Nice to meet you. I’m Ye-rin’s uncle.”

“I’m the second uncle. This is our first time meeting, right?”

Though he had seen their faces once in his previous life, this was the first meeting in his current life, so Min Do-jun bowed his head.

“Yes. Nice to meet you for the first time. I’m Min Do-jun.”

“Hehe, no need for introductions. Where among Korean citizens doesn’t know Min Do-jun?”

“You’re as handsome as we heard. Ye-rin is very blessed. Hahaha!”

Afterward, Ye-rin’s aunt, aunt-in-law, eldest uncle, etc.

Various people came and had brief conversations with Min Do-jun.

    ‘My mind is completely scattered.’

Greeting the endlessly arriving guests was mentally exhausting.

While he was greeting the elders like that, a young man approached and spoke to him.

    It was Cha Seung-hoon.

“Brother-in-law. You dressed up handsomely today?”

    “Brother-in-law came?”

Cha Seung-hoon was 1 year younger than Min Do-jun, so they decided to speak comfortably.

“I saw the rankings the day before yesterday and you hit level 3,500?”

    “Oh? You saw? Hehe.”

“Level 3,500 in 8 years. That’s quite fast?”

“Even so, how could it compare to brother-in-law?”

“I can say with certainty that among Magic Swordsmen, brother-in-law has the highest level.”

“Thank you. This is all thanks to brother-in-law’s teachings.”

    “What did I do?”

    It wasn’t modesty.

All Min Do-jun had done for Cha Seung-hoon was guide him to grow in a more efficient way.

“How is that nothing? I didn’t even know how to use my trait efficiently.”

Cha Seung-hoon’s trait was one that increased weapon attack power by twice his magic power, perfect for raising as a Magic Swordsman.

However, only attack power increased, not other stats like Min Do-jun, so it couldn’t be considered extremely good, but…

“If brother-in-law hadn’t pointed out various things like stats and hunting methods, I wouldn’t have even reached S-rank, would I?”

    “No way.”

“Come to think of it, I’ve only been receiving help from brother-in-law in various ways. You saved my life, helped me grow as a Magic Swordsman, and even gave me the Ghost Wolf…”

The Ghost Wolf skill book remaining in his inventory was given to Cha Seung-hoon.

It was a summon with good compatibility for Magic Swordsmen.

“Now I hope you’ll follow in my footsteps and prosper as a Magic Swordsman.”

“Oh my, you’re too kind. But brother-in-law.”

    “Yeah?”

Cha Seung-hoon, who had been looking around, lowered his voice.

“I heard it’s been 12 weeks since the pregnancy?”

When Min Do-jun’s eyes widened, Cha Seung-hoon giggled.

    “I heard from my sister.”

“Ah… She said she’d announce it after the wedding ceremony. I guess she already told you?”

“I was suspicious because you seemed to be rushing the wedding preparations, so I interrogated her.”

    “Oh my, Ye-rin…”

They had rushed the marriage because getting married with a visible belly would reveal the premarital pregnancy, but it ended up like this anyway.

“Don’t worry. Only I know and our parents don’t know yet. They’ll be surprised later when you come back from your honeymoon. Hehe.”

Min Do-jun was also looking forward to the reaction of his father and mother-in-law who would be happy about the surprise news.

“Speaking of which, where are you going for your honeymoon?”

“We decided on Fiji. It’s an island next to Australia.”

“Oh, islands are nice. By the way, have you been to see Ye-rin?”

“No. I’m busy greeting guests here too.”

“Then you haven’t seen her once since coming to the ceremony hall?”

    “Yeah.”

“Wow… Then you don’t know how pretty Ye-rin has become?”

    “I guess not.”

Min Do-jun glanced at the wall clock.

The ceremony time was gradually approaching.

“Brother-in-law. Have you decided on the baby’s name?”

    “Name?”

“Yeah. Haven’t you discussed it with Ye-rin yet?”

“We haven’t discussed it, but I have a name in mind.”

    “Oh, really? What is it?”

“I don’t know about if it’s a daughter, but if it’s a son, the name I want to give is Su…”

Just then, a ceremony hall staff member suddenly appeared.

“Groom. Before entering the ceremony, let’s do a rehearsal once.”

    “Ah, yes.”

Min Do-jun, who missed the timing to speak, disappeared with the staff, and soon it was time.

“In a moment, we will begin the wedding ceremony of groom Min Do-jun and bride Cha Ye-rin. Guests, please take your seats.”

At the host’s words, the murmuring guests each found their seats.

Even though only acquaintances were invited, about 300 guests filled the spacious ceremony hall.

“Now, let’s have time to meet today’s two main characters.”

Usually, mothers from both families would come out to light the unity candle, but since Min Do-jun had no mother, this was skipped.

“Everyone, please look behind you! The hero who saved the world and handsome groom is waiting to enter. Please give loud applause that will lift the roof. Groom’s entrance!”

Min Do-jun, dressed in a tuxedo, walked down the virgin road with big strides.

Since he had experienced a wedding ceremony once before, he wasn’t nervous.

    ‘This much is nothing.’

As he stood on the platform receiving all the guests’ attention, the host said.

“Everyone! Please look behind you once more. The most beautiful bride in the world is waiting to enter with her father. Please welcome her with strong applause. Bride’s entrance!”

Cha Ye-rin, wearing a pure white mermaid dress that revealed her waist line, entered modestly holding her father-in-law’s hand.

The moment he saw that sight, Min Do-jun was struck with breathtaking tension.

    ‘Ye, Ye-rin…?’

She, who already had outstanding looks normally, looked like an angel had descended with full makeup and wedding dress.

‘Is it because this is the first time I’m seeing her since we parted at the beauty salon this morning? She looks unusually pretty?’

As Cha Ye-rin approached, his heart pounded and he felt the excitement of early dating days.

‘I wasn’t this nervous even when catching the Red Dragon…’

After hugging his father-in-law and taking Ye-rin’s hand, Min Do-jun went up to the platform.

After looking at each other and bowing, they recited their marriage vows.

“I, groom Min Do-jun, swear to take bride Cha Ye-rin as my wife and be together forever.”

“I, bride Cha Ye-rin, take groom Min Do-jun as my husband and will be together forever…”

Suddenly, Cha Ye-rin, who had been choking up, showed tears.

Min Do-jun couldn’t help but be flustered by the unexpected situation.

    ‘Th-this didn’t happen even before regression…’

Could she be crying because she regrets this marriage?

Hiding his anxiety, Min Do-jun whispered.

    “Why are you crying, Ye-rin?”

“Sob, sniff. Because I’m so happy… Because I’m so happy…”

Confirming that these were tears of joy from being overwhelmed with happiness, Min Do-jun felt relieved.

“You should smile on this happy day, what are you doing crying?”

    “Yeah, I won’t cry anymore…”

Though Cha Ye-rin cried, Min Do-jun felt good.

Because he confirmed it wasn’t one-sided love.

‘It seems I’ve achieved my goal of protecting Ye-rin’s happiness.’

Just then, what God had said before leaving the dungeon suddenly came to mind.

    [Don’t forget the promise.]

‘Ha, suddenly remembering that on this good day, what the hell.’

Min Do-jun, who was about to frown, realized this was a wedding ceremony and maintained a poker face.

‘Promise my ass. I’m going to enjoy this moment right now.’

He made a vow with Cha Ye-rin.

    To be together forever.

The only promise Min Do-jun needed to keep right now was that.

This is quite the ending for a work, and honestly it seems like a pretty decent conclusion to a pretty average work. Which makes me wonder why the hell there’s a part 2?
